4-Axis Milling
A typical 2, 2.5 or 3-Axis mill setup
involves clamping the workpiece
in a vise where only 1 face is
exposed for cutting at a time.
A 4-Axis mill setup clamps the
workpiece in a rotary fixture. This
allows the machine to work on
virtually all faces of the workpiece
and allows for cuts to be made in 4
simultaneous axes.
